The 2025-26 ski season is nearly here and many resorts are announcing their opening days. If you’re thinking of using a pass or planning a ski trip, knowing the dates helps you lock in the gear, lodging, and travel early. Below are selected opening dates for U.S. resorts participating in the Ikon and Epic passes. (Note: all dates are tentative and subject to change, always check the resort’s website before you travel.)

IKOn pass Resorts

  1. Arapahoe Basin (Colorado)OPEN – the ski area has already started operations.

  3. Mammoth Mountain (California) - November 14, 2025.

  4. Snowbasin Resort (Utah) - November 27, 2025.

EPIC pass Resorts

  1. Vail Mountain (Colorado) - November 14, 2025.

  2. Park City Mountain (Utah) - November 21, 2025.

  3. Heavenly Mountain Resort (California) - November 21, 2025.

  4. Crested Butte Mountain Resort (Colorado) - November 26, 2025.

  5. Kirkwood Mountain Resort (California) - December 5, 2025.
